Satoshi: A Free Clean and Minimal Portfolio WordPress Theme
Happy New Year! This is my first post of 2010 and as a New Year present I’m giving away my latest WordPress theme – Satoshi – free of charge. It’s released under GPL, so you can use it for all your projects (personal or commercial) for free without any restrictions. You can also modify the theme however you choose.
Satoshi is ideal for portfolio sites and allows you to easily present your best work to an online audience. The download file includes all of the source code, the fully layered PSD file, and instructions about how to install and configure the theme. It’s packed with a wide range of different features which are described below along with screenshots.

Stylish Front Page
Satoshi comes with a front page template that enables you to highlight some of your more important project work. In particular, there is a “Featured Project” section where you can describe one of your best pieces of work – this can be easily configured via the theme options in your WordPress Admin panel.

There’s also another area lower down on the front page where you can draw attention to some other recent work that you have undertaken. This can again be easily configured via the WordPress Admin panel.

Portfolio Page
Satoshi also comes with a portfolio template that allows you to display information about all the project work you want to include on your site.

Blog
The blog has a clean design that allows you to add a “featured image” for each post via the use of custom fields. Threaded comments are also available and the comments section is gravatar-ready. The sidebar allows you to display advertisements (configured through the theme options page) and is also widget-enabled.

AJAX Contact Page
Also included with Satoshi is a template for an AJAX contact page that includes error checking. Configuring this form is very straightforward and is described in the instructions that come with the theme.

Theme Options
Satoshi comes with a number of themes options that you can use to configure the theme to your specific requirements – these include details for the featured section on the front page, the choice between six different color schemes, advertisement management, and Google Analytics support.

Feedback
I hope you find the theme useful – please leave a comment below if you have any feedback, questions, or suggestions of extra features that you would like to see added. Thanks

Hi – thanks for the Satoshi theme – it’s a fab theme!!
Quick question…how do I get the “Other Recent Work” footer at the bottom of the Front Page working? How do I add other projects to there?
Also, I’ve created one page as a Portfolio page (selecting the Portfolio template) but cannot seem to get any content up…can you help please?
thanks

Hi Gaurav – it’s probably easiest if you can send me your email address to support@vooshthemes.com – I can then run through what you need to do.

Great theme, but stuck with some edits…
1. How do I change the Santoshi image and the “clean” image in the top right?
2. I selected a page to show as the front page…the content from the page I selected as the frontpage doesn’t show…it just shows a generic frontpage with header, “we build clean sites” message, featured and other work sections.
3. How do I get rid of the “we build clean and stylish websites”?
